APPLICATION
Dry mix based on a complex binder, mineral fillers, graded sand, and special modifying additives that improve performance properties. The self-leveling fast-setting mixture " Self-leveling Floor " is intended for leveling concrete and sand-cement substrates with irregularities (steps, slopes) up to 100 mm. It is used to create a durable base for floor coverings (tiles, parquet, linoleum, carpet) indoors with a normal humidity level. The mixture is suitable for underfloor heating systems. Thanks to its high fluidity, it significantly facilitates the leveling process. It can be applied both mechanically and manually.
BASE PREPARATION
The temperature of the substrate and the ambient environment must be within the range of +5°C to +30°C. The substrate must comply with the requirements of RA TS39190620.6414-2010 and have a compressive strength of at least 15 MPa. The base must be dry, solid, and thoroughly cleaned of dust, dirt, oil stains, and any loose or peeling coatings. All joints, seams, and cracks must be filled in advance (at least 24 hours beforehand) with the “Self-leveling floor” mixture. The prepared base must be treated with a deep-penetrating “Grunt Acrylic Formula” primer. Along the perimeter of the room, it is necessary to install a damping tape for self-leveling floors or expanded polystyrene with a thickness of up to 1 cm. The width of the strip should be selected depending on the thickness of the leveling layer.
ATTENTION!
Insufficient strength of the substrate, the presence of hidden deformations, as well as dust and peeling areas of the screed may lead to cracking and delamination of the coating. It is necessary to rely on the official conclusion regarding the compressive strength grade of the substrate and independently verify the quality of the base.
MIX PREPARATION
Here are the steps for preparing the “Пол наливной BARKRAFT NIVELIR” solution: Pour a precisely measured amount of clean not boiled water into a container at a ratio of 0.28–0.3 L per 1 kg of mixture (5,6 - 6 L per 20 kg bag). Add the dry mixture into the water. Mix manually or using an electric drill with a mixing attachment until a homogeneous mass is obtained (3–4 minutes). Allow the mixture to rest for 5 minutes for proper maturation. Mix again. The prepared solution is ready for use within 30 minutes, with periodic mixing.
ATTENTION!
Excessive water reduces the strength of the coating. The recommended “dry mix – water” ratio must be strictly observed. Adding excessive water to the dry mix or prepared solution, as well as adding foreign additives, changes the declared properties of the material.
EXECUTION OF WORK
Apply the prepared mortar to the prepared substrate in a layer not less than 3 mm. Spread the mortar using a special tool (leveling rule/straightedge, spiked roller). During work interruptions longer than 30 minutes, thoroughly clean the tools and containers with water. The finished surface should be protected from direct sunlight and drafts for 3 days to prevent rapid drying. When working on large areas, the
floor should be divided into separate sections or rooms. For areas up to 20 m² in residential buildings, pouring is allowed without expansion joints.
Possible time for installing floor coverings:
Ceramic tile — after 3 days
Linoleum — after 7 days
Laminate and parquet — after 28 days
(at a temperature of 20°C and relative air humidity not more than 60%) All works should be performed in accordance with RA TS39190620.6414-2010.
SAFETY MEASURES AND STORAGE
Shelf life — 9 months from the date of manufacture in the original undamaged packaging. Store in dry indoor areas, protecting the product from moisture. The manufacturer guarantees that the product meets the requirements of RA TS39190620.6414-2010, provided that transportation and storage conditions are observed. When mixed with water, an alkaline reaction occurs. Avoid contact of the solution with skin and eyes. Work while wearing rubber gloves. In case of contact with eyes — rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical attention. Keep out of reach of children!
